Introducing: Beth!

A mom of two Shelties and a novice seamstress, I’m the proud new owner of FabricLovers.com. Having been taught the basics of sewing by my mother, and inspired by my mother-in-law’s ability to create beautiful hand-stitched quilts, I’ve decided to start up again. You might even be able to see my attempts at certain projects! When not working, sewing, or shopping for handbags and shoes, you can find me hiking, agility dog training, and reading by our tiny gold fishpond.

I get my inspiration for sewing projects from quilting magazines, online catalogs, and just looking around my house to see what needs updating. Now, with all this fabric around, it’s even more tempting to completely fill our home with projects like handbags, quilts, and throw pillows! 

I love my new Brother 9500 Project Runway Sewing machine!  It is great for someone who has not done any real projects for, ....well a long time.

Lobster Blues, by Michael Miller, is a lovely contrast of blue against a crisp white background. I’m thinking that it’d look great as dining room seat covers.

The Citrus Slice, also by Michael Miller, is the perfect reminder of passing hot summer days on the front porch with a large glass of cold lemonade. 

My last favorite is Garden Magic by South Seas. Why? Simply because I adore Daisies!

We're Being Sold = Huge Sale!

FabricLovers is being Sold!

Yes, you read that right--I have made the decision to sell the business. It's been a hard decision to make; after all, FabricLovers has been a part of my life for 6 years now, and I will miss it when it's gone. Most of all, I will miss interacting with you, my customers. I've enjoyed getting to know you through encouraging emails or cards you've sent or pictures you've forwarded of your latest projects. Thank you for being a part of my life and supporting my business!

I have the business listed for sale on an online auction site, so if you, or someone you know, would be interested in purchasing the business, please email me privately (Sabra@FabricLovers.com), and I will get the auction information to you. It's a great business for a stay-at-home mom, and it can be done right out of your home!

As you can imagine, it's time to clear out the shelves for the new owner, so EVERYTHING in store is on sale. I'm starting with a progressive discount that will increase as the time gets closer to switching owners.

Great Photo of our Purse Winner!

You might remember a while back we had an interview with Tracey Marcrum, a purse designer, who also offered a purse as a give-away. Well, we just heard back from the winner:

My name is Susan, and I was one of the people who commented on her beautiful one of a kind purses. Well, I WON !!!!!  As you can see in the picture, I was so happy when I was notified.
